Its been quite an adventure...I thought the time before the move was crazy although its been even crazier unpacking the move......LOL. Setting up the two studios has taken me so much more time than I thought it would. I am just placing items in position and then tweaking as I go along. It's like a giant puzzle fitting everything in.......Still so much painting yet to do, like trim, baseboards and windows but the boxes were driving me nuts so I'm trying to juggle set-up and painting at the same time.....
The hanging board allows me to hang the banner and floorcloth projects up and out of the way for protection while I am working on them. It also keeps them safe from smudges while drying. This is just a simple board that I can hammer nails in to fit different size projects......when there are too many holes it comes down easily to replace. I was just terrible at the barn and would just whack nails into the barnwood anyplace....LOL
My favorite person in the entire world is "Eloise" and has her place on my easel watching over all my projects, I have loved her since I was a very young girl........I painted her many years ago and she was also in the Barn Studio with me.......one day I may give her a pink hair ribbon.......
Some projects in progress........ and my furniture stand for painting is all set to go too.....first projects to finish are some stools........
If by chance you have T-squares remember to hang them...otherwise they will warp and drawing lines will be off for any project you might be working on.
I have several large white drawing board tops that I use for extra large paintings or for painting large needlepoint rugs. It works great as an extended top on another drawing board as a large open space work table, perfect for cutting canvas.......now the trick will be to keep the top clean. Using small clamps allows me to take it off at anytime. I love open clean work spaces.....that is what I am enjoying the most about this main studio ~ the open clean feeling......loving the white room!
Everything in the new studio is just wonderful, especially all this fabulous bright light.......colors are just popping! Almost ready to be painting again.......and so excited too.....
I'm so happy to be.......
in the Studio......
